Some performances pull me so deep into a story that reality falls away—sometimes a full cast elevates a story, Other times, a single narrator’s voice clicks perfectly. Not every great love story is the main focus. Sometimes it’s the romantic subplot that enriches an already strong book. Black romance is my ultimate comfort genre, the place I return to when nothing else resonates. After a year of sharing recommendations, I’m back with eight more favourites discovered over the last few years. Some are long‑time loves, others arrived exactly when I needed them, each offering joy, drama, and heart.
This month’s TBR has grown rather than shrunk, with ten new additions that I mostly discovered by accident. It’s a slightly chaotic mix, driven more by curiosity than intention. I am still excited for all these reads and I’m hoping for a more successful TBR run through next month.
